Jordan Israel Turkey Egypt

I have pretty much seen all the things that I wanted to see in Jordan.  My next destination is to cross the Allenby Bridge into Israel, there I should spend the Christmas.  Most of the locals tell me don't go since the violence is still on.  But I know, if I don't go, I would regard, and plus, I don't know when would be the next time I come back to this region.  Decision is made, I will take the earliest bus to the border tomorrow morning.

Quite a few travelers I met told me different stories about getting in and out of Israel.  Some said it is a piece of cake to get through the custom and shouldn't worry about a thing.  On the other hand, someone told me that the Israeli took away all his films and camera because he took some pictures about the violence...  Um, I can give up my camera, but definitely not my films.  So far into the trip, I have almost shot 20 rolls of films, certainly I can't risk surrendering them.  I decided to mail them back home.

One of the exciting thing about traveling, to me, is to adjust myself to the new envirnment as soon as possible.  All the errands that I can run easily back home becomes challenges here.  I have never felt so satisfied after finding a post office, and mailed out my package.

It is going to be tough day tomorrow.  I am a bit nervous, but also excited about it.

Today's Tips:
* Have a cup of coffee on the balcony of the Internation Cafe, and enjoy the night view of downtown Amman.  The cafe is on second floor, the outside walls are painted with flags of different countries.  You can easily spot it.
* There are quite a few internet cafes along the main street, but they all seem very slow.
