The
bus is much better than I expected. Since it is only
half full, I as able to occupy two seats and lie down for
some sleep.
Hey, what is that
loud noise, please don't tell me it is the prayer from the
loud speaker again... No, thank God it is not, but,
it is the TV! The driver turns on the TV and cranks
up the volume to its maximum during the middle of the night!!!
Who in the world would want to watch TV in the bus at 3am
in the morning? Perhaps it is the way the driver keeps
himself awake.
Obviously the
locals are already used to the noise, and they don't seem
to have any problem sleeping. But for the rest of us,
it is surely a form of torture. Luckily, I have my earplugs
with me, at least I can block out some of the unwanted sound.
When I think that
I can finally get some sleep, the bus stops for passport check.
It is the thrid time the police check our passports.
Are there really that many illegal immigrants sneak into Egypt?
Or are they being careful about terrorists due to the Israel
conflict? But anyway, I don't thinkg I can get much
sleep before I get to Dahab...
