Wow!  This is Dahab, this is the beautiful beach they are talking about.  After 14 hours of long ride, I am finally here.

It is certainly a backpacker's paradise!  Gorgeous weather, deep blue beach, cozy villages, green palm trees, it is unquestionably a wonderful place to relax for a couple of days after been on the road for a while.  This little town is not like any other tourist places where full with tour buses and tour groups, most of the travelers stay here are backpackers.  I stand on the rooftop of my hotel, smelling the Red Sea, enjoying the cool breeze, I am falling in love with this place.

It is now mid December, it must be bitter cold back home.  Yet, thousands miles from home, I am walking along the beautiful beach and enjoying the warm sunshine in my shorts, what a life I am having!  Walking down the main street that filled with open top restaurants and bars, gift shops, SCUBA training centers, internet cafes, I wonder, is this Egypt?  I feel more like in Hawaii.  Having a beer in the Dublan Pub next to the seaside and watch the sunset over the Red Sea is definitely an awesome experience.  The red orange mountain range on the other side of the sea is Saudi Arabia, I don't think I will set foot in that country any time soon, but at least I can claim that I have seen it.

The sun has retired for the day. Bright full moon is hanging in the dark blue sky, which is scattered with housands of shinning stars.  It is now, the party starts... tropical and Jamaican music are played everywhere, out door restaurants have their fire light up, twenty or thirty of us, from different part of the world, gather here around the fire, share travel stories, and cheer for each other.  Food is absolutly wonderful, beer is cold, dogs and cats running around us asking for left over from our plates.  I am sitting here, listening to the guys joking around, feeling the heat from the fire, smelling the breeze from the Red Sea, watching the sky full of stars...am I dreaming?
