Early in the morning, the hostel taxi took me to the Pyramid. After years of dreaming, finally I am here in front of the Pyramid..., and this is the main reason I come to Egypt! Can't express my feeling, just feel that I am so insignificant when standing in front of these mass structures!

How in the world did they build something like these? Inside of the Great Pyramid, all I could say was "WOW". According to what I have read in the past, the smallest stone weighted 20 tons, and the biggest ones weighted over 70 tons! Yet, when touch these stone walls, they are so smooth, the cuts are so perfect. Inside of this thousands year old building really took my breath away! The ancient engineers had build this structure to challenge today's modern technology! Simply amazing!

I took a horse ride around the Pyramids and Sphinx, quite peaceful. But it wasn't at all a pleasant experience. To make the long story short, I bargained the price down to 60 Egyptian Pounds (about $20US) from 100 Pounds for the ride. The guy took me all the way into the desert, made sure I couldn't walk back to town, then told me that 60 pounds was only for one way! I had to pay him another 60 pounds to get back! I was so mad and disappointed! I argued, but what good did that do.

I can afford to pay another 60 pounds, even 600 pounds. But it is the principle, they cheated me, an innocent traveler who was simply amazed by their culture and history. I felt so disappointed at the way they trick us!
